How to get a security guard licence in Ontario
Training is necessary, but it is not the licence. Follow the application, learning, testing and licence stages in the correct order.

Choose an offer
Compare online security training, in-person First Aid and the bundle. Volatile prices and inclusions appear only when approved.

Submit an application
The secure public form records a pending request. It does not create an account, enrolment or payment approval.

Academy review
A manager reviews the selected offer, required information and payment status away from the public form.

Approval and course assignment
Only a capability-checked, nonce-protected manager action can create or reuse the learner account and assign mapped courses.

Create your password securely
New learners receive a WordPress single-use password-setting link. No password is emailed, logged or stored by a separate academy system.

Complete learning and assessments
Use the protected learner experience for lessons, completion progress and server-graded quiz attempts.

Academy and compliance review
Course completion is recorded separately from any certificate, training completion number or compliance review. Those later systems must be confirmed before launch.

Continue to the provincial process
Use the appropriate completion documentation for the provincial test, then submit the separate Ontario licence application. The academy does not issue the licence.
Provincial test
A separate test requiring the appropriate training completion number. The test is not administered by this website.
Licence issuance
A Government of Ontario decision after a separate application. Training completion never guarantees approval or employment.
